Facebook is more than just posting photos and videos to a page. Facebook, especially for businesses is about engagement, advertising and maybe most importantly – analyzing. Without analyzing your results you won’t know what is really working and what isn’t.
Luckily Facebook provides Insights on every one of its business pages. Available to all admins of the page this feature can tell a lot about the overall “health” of the business page. In addition, it can take a lot of guessing out what really is resonating with your audience and what isn’t.
While there is a slew of information to comprehend within Facebook’s Insights tools, there isn’t always time to go through everything.
So what are the most important insights? What can quickly provide you with valuable data on what is and isn’t working? Here are just a few:
Your Demographics:
Within the Facebook Insights tab you will want to always check out the section called “People”. It is within this section where you can see the age, gender, location and other important data of the people who like your page. More importantly within that section you can see where and who aren’t just following you but are engaged with you. Do you assume your audience all speaks English? Maybe a good portion of your audience that is engaged with you page speaks Spanish and you should post and advertise your content in Spanish? Did you know you have more males engaged within your content even though the majority of your fans are female? Having this type of data is extremely valuable from a social marketing standpoint.
Your Posts:
The Posts tab is another section you will want to look at regularly. It is here you can see the success or failure of your content as it analyzes how your posts perform when it comes to reach and engagement. It is also within this tab where you can find out the days and times your audience is most active. By knowing which posts are performing the best and the ideal hours your audience is active on Facebook can provide you with great information on the type of content they want to know about as well as the type of content they don’t care much about
If you aren’t using Facebook Insights, it is definitely time to get started. Plus, it’s free so there shouldn’t be any of those excuses! For more information on Facebook Insights and understanding all the data it provides contact at 954-254-1650 or visit TheInteractiveImprint.com.
