Did you know that only an estimated 2% of visitors convert (or make a purchase) during their first visit to a website? That isn’t very much.
So how do you overcome that? How does that conversion number increase? The answer – retargeting. Retargeting is a strategy that has been extremely effective at re-engaging visitors that have left your site prior to completing a conversion.
This type of remarketing can be done easily and quickly with the help of Facebook. Simply install a small piece of pixel code onto your website and Facebook does the rest.
Once inserted and firing Facebook will begin to automatically grow this custom audience list as people start visiting your website.
Then you can utilize Facebook’s ads manager to serve ads to this specific audience keeping this now “warm” audience top-of-mind with your brand while they are surfing their Facebook feed.
To take this very effective, targeted marketing one step further you can also experiment with behavioral retargeting. With it you can build audiences not just on people that visited or landed on your website but on user’s behavior.
For example, you can retarget people only who visited your website for over 2 minutes compared to everyone who visited including the ones who bounced off after 5 seconds.
On top of that you can now retarget people based off of the amount of time they watched your videos on Facebook. Facebook now allows you to select a video length or percentage of video watched to create a custom audience.
This way you can target viewers that showed the most interest as they watched your entire video (or most of it) compared to others that watched only a portion of your video and are less likely to convert.
Retargeting is becoming an extremely powerful marketing tool in the social media universe. To learn more on how implement these strategies for your business contact The Interactive Imprint at 954-254-1650 or visit TheInteractiveImprint.com.
